Uganda Cranes forward Shaban unveiled by Al Hilal Sports Club

Libyan top flight entity Al Hilal Sports Club has on Sunday, 28th July 2024 officially unveiled Uganda Cranes forward Mohammed “Jaggarson” Shaban.

Shaban penned a year-long deal with the Libyan side that is based in Bengazi city.

I am excited to announce that I have officially signed with AlHilal SC. This is a new chapter in my career. I am ready to give my all on the pitch and bring my best to the team. Let’s make some unforgettable memories together!

The move for Shaban to Al Hilal Sports Club was brokered by famous agent Hafeez Alagori from HA Football Management.

Shaban has played for Vipers, Onduparaka, Kampala Capital City Authority (two stints) and Morocco’s Raja Casablanca.

He is a swift forward known for his fearless attitude and awesome positional sense and sublime finishing.

“Oh My eyes; Oh my eyes. May God bless, God willing” posted an A Hilal SC fan after Shaban’s unveiling on Sunday.

Shaban is a graduate from the youth system of Uganda’s football pyramid, playing for the Uganda U-17, U-20 and U-23 teams before elevating to the Uganda Cranes.

The 27-year-old is capped 23 times and has scored thrice, including the recent goal against Botswana in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.

Meanwhile, Al HIlal Sports Club also signed Mohamed Khalil, Mohammed Bin Salem, Amgad Bin Abdy and Ashraf Al Maqsi.

Al Hilal SC will face Uganda’s Kitara Football Club in a two-legged Total Energies CAF Confederation cup (preliminary round).

The first leg will take place between between 16-18 August 2024 at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.
