Rowing (Single Scull, 2000m) – Repechage 3:
- Grace Kathleen Noble (Uganda) – 8:15:10 (Position 3)
Uganda’s female rower Grace Kathleen Noble raced for the second time at the ongoing Paris 2024 Olympics in France during the women single scull event (repechage race).
Noble posted a time of 8:15:10 minutes to finish third in repechage three on Sunday, 28th July 2024 at the Nautical St Flat water body.
This particular race was won by Paraguay’s Alejandra Alonso, 27, with a timing of 7:57:14.
The second place was taken over by Adriana Sanguineti from Peru (8:07:05).
Soaad Alfaqaan (8:28:89) from Kuwait was fourth as Morocco’s Majdouline El Allaoui (8:42:07) was fifth.
Noble is competing at her second successive Olympic Games.




During heat 1 of the women’s single scull’s event over 2000m, Noble posted 8:08:90 to finish fifth in a competitive race won by Tara Rigney from Australia.
Rigney championed the heat with a timing of 7:30:01 to progress for the semi-finals.
Noble returns to action on the morning of Monday, 29th July 2024 for another Repechage race.
Besides the single scull event, there is also competition in the doubles and quadruple.


Rowing will continue until 3rd August 2024.
At the Paris 2024 Olympics, Uganda is also represented by a cyclist Charles Kagimu, two swimmers (Anna Gloria Muzito and Jesse Ssengonzi) as well as a bunch of athletes.
By Sunday, 28th July 2024, Australia is leading the medal standings with 3 gold medals and two silver medals.
China follows with 3 gold and 1 bronze as hosts France has two gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze. South Korea is fourth with 2 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze.
