
Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) has, with immediate effec,t expelled Jinja Progressive Academy (JIPRA) from the games village at Ngora High School.
In a memo addressed to the JIPRA head teacher, the school is judged from the events that transpired during and after their aborted semi-final game with St Mary’s Boarding School, Kitende.
The aforementioned game was aborted in the 39th minute when an assistant referee was attacked by a section of fans for not considering a goal, a would-be equalizer by JIPRA, for an offside call.
USSSA has cited two cases against JIPRA; one for fielding two ineligible players, Adrian Isabirye and Musa Ntege (with accumulated cautions), as well as violent conduct and incitement.
Members of your technical bench were involved in acts of physical violence, including assaulting match officiating officials. Additionally, they incited violence among fans leading to disruption of the game and breach of USSSA rule 8.1 and rule 8.2 (violation of secondary schools competition rules and regulations.

Jinja Progressive Academy (JIPRA) henceforth forfeits the semi-final match against St Mary’s Boarding Secondary School Kitende who book their berth to face Wakiso zone nemesis Buddo Secondary School.
“Jinja Progressive Academy is hereby expelled from the 2025 U-20 national football boys championship hosted at Ngora High School and directed to vacate the games’ village and all nearby areas within Ngora district with immediate effect,” the verdict read in part.
That said, the four schools that qualify to represent Uganda at the 2025 FEASSA Games in Kenya (Kakamega) are determined; St Mary’s Kitende, Buddo SS, Bukedea Comprehensive School and the reigning champions, Amus College.
The final for this year’s USSSA boys’ football championship will be played on Wednesday, 14th May 2025 at Ngora High School playground 2.
