NEC, in second place with 61 points are still mathematically in the race for the championship as they trail table leaders Vipers by four points with two rounds to play.

The fixture, last season on the last day of the season decided the championship with Villa beating NEC 2-0 at Lugogo to lift the title amidst competition from Vipers and BUL who still had an opportunity on the final day.

Villa are not in the title race at the moment with 42 points in 6th position but want to win and climb up the table with a top four finish the ultimate target at the moment.

NEC won the reverse fixture 2-1 at the MTN Omondi stadium, Lugogo with Paul Mucureezi and Cromwell Rwothomio getting the goals that turned Hakim Kiwanuka’s goal into a mere consolation.

This will be the fourth meeting between the two sides with Villa on 2 wins and one defeat.
