KCCA Leopards secured a hard-fought victory against Magic Stomers, winning 83-79 in a National Basketball League encounter at YMCA Court, Wandegeya, on Wednesday.
Auma Angela’s long shot beyond the arc concluded the first period, leaving Magic Stomers trailing by 10 points at 25-15.
Once again, Auma capped the second period with a three-point jump shot, as Magic Stomers went into halftime trailing by 11 points, 44-33.
After the break, Magic Stomers showed improvement, outscoring KCCA Leopards 24-20 in the third period, but they still trailed by seven points.
Despite their efforts in the final period, Magic Stomers could not close the gap, and the Leopards held on to secure a four-point victory.
Perus Nyamwenge led the team with 27 points, followed by Margaret Bagaala with 15 points and Asinah Kabendela with 10 points for the Leopards.
Daphine Adong had a strong performance for Magic Stomers, achieving a double-double with 14 points and 17 rebounds, while Auma scored an impressive 32 points.
