Olympics 2024: The full schedule for Uganda athletics team

• Event: XXXIII Olympiad
• Duration: 26^th July to 11^th August 2024
• Host country: France

The XXXIII Olympiad in France was officially opened on Friday, 26^th July 2024 along the famous River Seine in Paris.

With 10,700 athletes expected to participate in this world’s biggest multi-sport fiesta, Uganda is inclusive.

There are 32 different sports disciplines which will hold 329 events.

Team Uganda has a delegation of 25 members, 21 of whom are from athletics.

The others are from swimming (2), rowing (1) and cycling (1).

The athletes will commence their competitions this coming Friday, 2nd August 2024 with the highlight being the 10,000m men’s final where Joshua Cheptegei, Jacob Kiplimo and Martin Magengo Kiprotich will carry aloft Uganda’s treasured black-yellow and red flag.

The races will continue until 11th August 2024 with the women’s marathon.

The trio of Stella Chesang, Rebecca Cheptegei and Mercyline Chelangat are registered for the women’s marathon race.

The closing ceremony will be held at Stade de France on 11^th August 2024.
