Transfer wrap up: Kizza leaves KCCA, Asiku joins Lugazi, NEC sign Mucureezi

Mustafa Kizza has left KCCA for a second stint. The defender joined the Kasasiro for a second stint in January 2023 before penning a two-year contract at the start of the 2023/24 premier league season.

However, he announced his departure after completion of just of the two years confirmed by the club when he joined in September last year.

KCCA are now left with two options at left back with new signing Isa Mubiru and Herbert Achai.

At Lugazi, the newly promoted UPL side announced the signing of Bashir Asiku on a two-year contract from Gaddafi.

The former U-17 & U-20 international defender has previously played for Vipers where he came through the junior side and Wakiso Giants.

Other new signings at Lugazi are coach Sadiq Ssempigi, striker Ian Amanya, Emmanuel Obua, Denis Lubowa, Rogers Adriko, Nelson Mandela and Sharif Saaka.

Elsewhere, free spending NEC signed experienced attacking midfielders Paul Mucureezi and Muzamir Mutyaba.

The former KCCA duo join other new signings including Maroons duo of Jacob Okao and Bayiga and Ismail Kawawulo among others.

The Bugolobi based side let go of Tony Kiberu, Gavin Mobutu, Sulaiman Ssesaazi, Micheal Okiria, Brian Kayanja, John Paul Acire, Innocent Asiimwe Ramos, Hamza Ssempa and Tervin Kyeyune.
