It is this time of the season that the different football clubs across the world are re-organizing their respective houses prior to the virgin season.
From the first management, administrative, technical to the fans’ dockets, it is the opportune moment to energize, plan afresh as well as set short, medium and long term targets.
In Uganda, it is no different. Coming to the 2024-2025 footballing season, various sports clubs are getting energized in preparation for the new season.
As the respective management wings are beefing their technical and playing dockets, the fans’ wing is also gearing up.
The reigning StarTimes Uganda Premier League champions Sports Club Villa has planned a mega fans’ fete to celebrate their 17th crown in style.
This will be held at the famous Villa Park on Saturday, 3rd August 2024, commencing as early as 8 AM.




Different fans’ branches around Kampala and other parts of the country will take part in the football 7-aside gala.
Registration per team is fixed at Ug.Shs 100,000 that is meant to help in the smooth organization of this gala.
Addressing journalists during the official launch, Sultan Hakim Kivumbi, the chairman organizing committee confirmed that the registration of teams to take part is still on-going.
We call upon the registered six fans branches such as Nateete, Entebbe, Mbarara, Kalerwe, Jinja, Villa Park to come and participate. We call upon all organized teams to register for the event. It will be a 7-aside event and we expect over 60 teams to take part in the competition.

Prizes:
The winning team will smile home with a trophy, bull and gold medals. The runners up shall take a goat and silver medals.
Besides the gala, Sports Club Villa fans will have a unique photo opportunity with the trophy that they won in the league last season.
Players with FUFA licences across the different divisions will not be allowed to feature in this tournament.
Entertainment is assured from staunch Sports Club Villa leaning musicians as Eddy Kenzo, Mathias Walukagga and King Saha, among others.

Health Camp:
Football and entertainment aside, there is a planned health camp where there will be cervical cancer screening, Hepatitis B vaccination, Yellow fever vaccination, HIV testing and counselling, Family planning, Antenatal clinic and De-worming for children.
Meanwhile, there is a planned arrangement that after the gala, Sports Club Villa fans will board the Uganda Railway train to Mandela National Stadium, Namboole for their FUFA super 8 contest against Uganda Cranes select side.
