
Edgar’s youth program and Grand Maria School-GMS have signed a ten-year memorandum of understanding to grow the football potential of learners.
The future of Uganda’s football has been boosted by a memorandum of understanding between Edgar’s youth program and-Grand Maria School in Nabbingo.
Cyrus Muwanga, Grand Maria School is enthused about this particular partnership as he has always emphasized the zeal for a holistic education program.

“Grand Maria School GMS is excited about signing a memorandum of understanding with Edgar’s Youth Program. This is a step in the desired right direction where our learners’ football potential will be further boosted” Muwanga, a former Uganda national Table Tennis player revealed.
According to Edgar’s youth program team leader and director Edgar Watson Suubi, this partnership that is for an initial ten years will use football for GMS to realize not only footballers but also sports medics and lawyers and coaches.





“The partnership between Grand Maria School GMS and Edgars Youth Program is initially for 10 years but we believe it will even surpass. We want to use football to develop careers not only in the football game, but also in sports medicine and other professional careers as law, engineering, doctors and coaches” Watson who is also the chief CEO at Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) remarks.
Over the 20 years of the Edgar’s youth program, its proud of footballers as Steven Desse Mukwala (now at Tanzanian side Simba), Saidi Mayanja (Kampala Capital City Authority), Ibra Mugulusi (BUL) and Laban Tibita (BUL), among others.
Both parties boldly acknowledge that parents are pertinent in this noble cause and henceforth the parents’ full time involvement is worthy and necessitates.
Grand Maria School GMS is relatively new but has already proved its potential towards sports and education with sports disciplines like running, football, bike riding, cycling and swimming exposed to the learners.








Their partnership with Edgars Youth Program is envisaged as the desired stepping stone that will inspire and drive the institution beyond the horizons.
For starters, Edgars Youth Program has over the years educated football and life skills to youngsters with their committed team of teachers and coaches.
