Quarter finals (Monday, 12^th May):

• St Mary’s Boarding School Kitende Vs Kibuli SS
• Buddo SS Vs Uganda Martyrs High School, Lubaga
• Jinja Progressive Academy (JIPRA) Vs Mentor SS Lira
• Kyadondo SS Vs Bukedea Comprehensive School

It is the business-end of the 2025 USSSA boys’ football championship in Ngora district.

The quarter final matches shall be played on Monday, 12^th May at the different playgrounds.

This comes after the successful completion for the round of 16 matches on Sunday, May 11, 2025.

Explosive quarter final match ups:

St Mary’s Boarding School Kitende Vs Kibuli SS:

With 24 titles combined (12 apiece), St Mary’s Boarding School Kitende and Kibuli SS face off in the highly anticipated epic clash.

St Mary’s Boarding School Kitende was bullish at the round of 16, winning 3-0 over the much-fancied Blessed Sacrament Kimanya.

Farouk Tumwesigye, Ashiraf and Santos Agok were on target for Kitende whose head coach is Hassan Zzungu.

“We tackle game by game. The quarter final match against Kibuli SS is one of them and we shall approach them according to plan” a soft spoken Zzungu told the media.

Kibuli SS, under Emuron Recoba needed a 5-3 post match penalty victory over another Masaka zone opposition, Masaka SS after normal time had ended goalless.

“This is one match that we need to win if we are to smile back with the trophy. The planning is underway and we shall give our all for the match” Recoba revealed.

Buddo SS Vs Uganda Martyrs High School Lubaga:

The other quarter-final clash has Buddo SS from Wakiso zone against Kampala zone champions Uganda Martyrs High School, Lubaga.

At the round of 16, Buddo SS out-smarted Teso zone ambassadors Wisdom High School from Ngora 3-1. Owen Mukisa (brace) and Abdul Shakil Babi scored Buddo’s goals whilst Eddy Goadian Odur had the consolation for Wisdom High.

Jinja Progressive Academy (JIPRA) Vs Mentor SS Lira:

Busoga zone’s Jinja Progressive Academy (JIPRA) and Acholi zone’s Mentor SS Lira will be up in arms.

Mentor SS Lira has already tested opposition from the Busoga zone having eliminated Jinja Comprehensive Academy 1-0 at the round of 16.

Jinja Progressive Academy (JIPRA) convincingly ejected the reigning champions St Julian High School 3-1 with Asuman Kayondo and Simon Achiidi (brace) the scorers.

James Ssekate scored the consolation for St Julian High School.

Kyadondo SS Vs Bukedea Comprehensive School:

Tournament dark-horses Kyadondo SS from Wakiso zone play in their first ever quarter final at the nationals.

Kyadondo SS under former KCCA midfielder Hakim Ssenkumba will battle Teso zone’s Bukedea Comprehensive school (BCS).

At the round of 16, Kyadondo SS defeated Kichwamba SS from Rubiriizi district 1-0 courtesy of Moses Kalule’s strike.

On the other hand, Bukedea Comprehensive School needed a late-late strike from John Kyobe in their 1-0 over Kawempe Muslim.

The semi-finals will come on Tuesday, 13^th May 2025 and the finals on Wednesday 14th May 2025.
