Goals galore in girls football as Amus College, Boni Consili, Kawempe Muslim run rout | 2025 USSSA football

Goals rained on the opening two days of the 2025 USSSA girls football championship at the various playgrounds in Bukedea district.

Multiple champions Kawempe Muslim Secondary School, Amus College and Isingiro district’s Boni Concili Girls Vocational School shone brightest.

Boni Concili Girls Vocational School and Amus College recorded the most goals in a single fixture, triumphing 11-0 over Newton SS and Gadhafi Integrated School respectively.

Nyakato and Praxidies each scored a hat-trick in Amus College’s massive victory with the other goals coming from Faith Akol (2), Edna Wanda (2) and Shafiga Tamisi.

Kawempe Muslim SS humiliated Katikamu SDA 10-0 in another single handed duel.

Agnes Nabukenya grabbed the headlines for the right reasons, scoring the most goals, six.

Shadia Nabirye added a brace, while Cynthia Kirenga and Belinda Hope Nabawunuka got a goal each.

Other results:

In the other results; Kibingo Girls humbled Koro SS 8-1, Latifah Mixed defeated Kinoni High 5-1 and Sheema Girls overcame Kapchorwa 3-0.

Kamonkoli lost 1-3 to Francis Ayume Memorial School, Sacred Heart edged M.M College Wairaka 3-2 whilst St Charles Lwanga SS overcame Kangulumira Public SS 3-1.

Jinja Progressive Academy pipped Aidan college Wakiso 2-0 and Rines SS out-powered Jinja SS 2-1.

Dinnah Mugonyi and Halimah Mupyanga scored Rines’ goals.

Fairway High School overcame Mary Hill High School 1-0.

A successful dribble during the 2025 USSSA ball games one in Bukedea

There were a couple of stalemates played with Bunya SS and Lugazi Homeland playing to a 1-all draw.

Lamennais SS and Highway Kiganda also played to a 1-all fair.

Teddy Nakabuye had the goal for Highway Kiganda and Gloria Nabukenya replied for Lammenais.

The same scoreline for Kisozi Seed and Bugisu High School.

Gloria Lunyolo gave Bugishu High School the lead and Mary Aimee Tuyishime netted Kisozi Seed’s last gasp equalizer.

London College and Kongole Girls SS both failed to find the back of the net.

The official opening match on Wednesday at the newly laid Bukedea astro-turf witnessed the hosts Bukedea Comprehensive win 2-0 over Gulu High School.

Elizabeth Apecho and Janita Nanyonjo scored in either half for the host school who are coached by Jimmy Mukubya.

The group matches continue on Thursday, May 8 at various playgrounds in Bukedea district.

Besides girls’ football, the USSSA ball games one also have hockey, rugby 15’s, Table Tennis, Lawn Tennis, Netball (U-16), Volleyball (U-16) and badminton.
