Striker Umar Kasumba was the difference as Police FC secured victory against URA FC on Friday at Kavumba Recreation Ground.

The travelled forward bagged a second half brace to guide the Cops to a 2-0 win and put a half to URA’s purple patch. The Tax Collectors had won four games on the bounce before today.

After a cagey first half that saw few scoring chances for either side, it was Kasumba who took matters into his hands.

The first goal arrived twenty minutes from time when Kasumba headed home from substitute Abdushakur Ramsey Jemba’s cross.

Three minutes later, the duo once again combined with Kasumba getting his second goal of the day.

The Cops eventually defended resiliently to claim all three points and continue coach Matia Lule’s good start to his tenure.

Lule replaced Simon Peter Mugwera two weeks ago and he has collected seven points from three League games.

The win means KCCA FC move to 30 points in tenth position while URA FC remain in fourth place on 42 points.
