In preparation for the upcoming 2025 Corporate League season, different companies are in preparatory mood.
Two companies NCBA Bank and Smart Applications International engaged in a build-up duel held at Henry’s sports center in Kabalagala, a suburb of Kampala city.
Douglas Zziwa scored a hat-trick and Carzola Gonzaga added the other as NCBA Bank triumphed 4-3 over Smart Applications International.
Raymond Komakech, Fred Driwale and Eddie Kintu were on target for the Smart Applications International team.
Saidi Ali Mukasa, captain for NCBA Bank lauded the teammates for the brave character exhibited during the build-up match, a precursor to the main Corporate league.
“It was a perfect warm-up match as we look forward the upcoming 2025 Corporate League. We are excited as eye the start of this interesting league, a platform to network, exercise and celebrate together” Mukasa remarked.
Smart Applications International team skipper Nicholas Kasozi is enthusiastic as the new season gracefully knocks in.
“We cannot wait for the new season of the Corporate League to start. We are preparing for the kick-off as we envisage a great start and performance as well. Through the Corporate League, we encounter new persons, maintain the previous relationships as we play sport and talk business in the same dimension” Kasozi hints.
The games involved in the Corporate League include football, Tug-of-war, basketball, volleyball, swimming, athletics, tennis, pool, golf, netball, bottle filling, sack racing, pool, woodball, darts, table tennis, corporate marathon and the kids league.
The 2025 Corporate League is ear-marked to kick off on 23rd March 2025 (venue will be confirmed) with over 20 companies expected to take part.
On the day, Equity Bank, winners of the 22nd edition will play the runners up Post Bank before the awards shall be presented.
This year, there will be the presidential CEO sports symposium with an awards event inclusive as well as the Nile Corporate league excellence awards gala night.
