KCB KOBs Rugby Club has beaten Warrriors Rugby Club, 43-03, in the first Mileke Shield match of 2025 at Legends Rugby Ground.
Having narrowly lost to Rhinos at the same venue during the now-rebranded Uganda Rugby men’s Premiership opener, KOBs have registered their first victory. It came with a bonus point for good measure.
It was also Timothy Mudoola’s first victory (from two matches) since being unveiled as KOBs’ head coach. The club veteran has risen through the ranks from player through captain to S&C coach, and now has his hands fully on the wheel.

KOBs retained the Mileke Shield with a comfortable result.
They did not leak any tries but scored seven through Ian Munyani, Joseph Aredo (2), Andrew Odhiambo (2), Pius Ogena, and Richard Abigaba. Calvin Gizamba converted four of the tries.
Warriors’ solitary points on the scoreboard came from a Hamza Kinyai penalty kick.
Although it was a huge scoring margin, Warriors made KOBs work for every try. Speaking after full-time, Mudoola said that the way his KOBs charges played was not yet to the quality he expected.
