JKL Lady Dolphins extended their playoff semifinal series lead after humbling JT Lady Jaguars in a 71-47 victory in the National Basketball League on Sunday afternoon at Lugogo Indoor Arena.
The well-deserved victory puts the Lady Dolphins in a comfortable place that a win in game three will confirm their spot in the final.
JKL Lady Dolphins swum into a seven-point (15-08) lead at the end of an electric first quarter.
The reigning champions kept ascending as they extended their lead to 12 points (31-19) before the long break.
Coming from the locker rooms, JT Jaguars improved their rhythm and plays, setting up Brenda Kayaga for a long shot. At the end of the third quarter, Jaguars trailed by 16 points.
Lady Dolphins kept their foot on the gas pedal to seal a 24-point victory on the day.
Becky Longom staged a thrilling show with a double-double as she scored 10 points and picked 11 rebounds.
Jane Asinde (17 points) and Ekone Brenda (15 points) contributes to the Dolphins total in double digits.
On the other hand, only Sarah Ageno (15 points) scored double digits while Mercy Batamuliza pulled down a game-high 18 rebounds.
