
Kenya’s Beatrice Chebet added the 10,000m title to the 5000m gold she had gained four days earlier, running 30:43.25 to complete a distance double at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games on Friday at Stade De France in Paris city, France.
At the end of a tactical race, Italy’s Nadia Battocletti, who was fourth in the 5000m, finished strong in a national record of 30:43.35 to secure the silver.

Netherlands’ Sifan Hassan ran her seasonal best time of 30:44.12 for bronze – her second medal of that colour in Paris after her third-place finish in the 5000m.
Another Kenyan Kipkemboi was fourth with a time of 30:44.58.
It was a rather tough day for Uganda as Sarah Chelangat finished 12th with 31:02.37 and Annet Chelangat came 21st (31:50.41) for her personal best time in the race.
Japan’s Takashima had a seasonal best time of 31:52.07, finishing 22nd overall.
