The 2024 St John’s invitational Lacrosse tournament will be held at the St John’s secondary school, Nandere in Luweero district on Sunday, 14th July.
According to the tournament director Mubarak Mansour, this day-long championship will be played by either gender (boys and girls).
The tournament is intended to give schools enough playing time ahead of the national championship this September.

The host school, St John’s secondary school Nandere will be joined by St Mary’s High School Zirobwe, Bombo Army school (runners up in the high school super sixes), St John’s High school and Nabisunsa Girls school.
Bombo Army School has proved to be one of the most improved Lacrosse playing institutions.
Francis Ngolobe, the host school sports teacher expresses the readiness to host the other schools.
“We expect a successful event. As St John’s secondary school Nandere, everything is in place to have a successful championship. We welcome all our visitors” Ngolobe states.




This championship is being supported by St Johns SS Nandere, Uganda Lacrosse Association, Wopi Uganda Limited and Silverbacks Youth sports program – Uganda.
Lacrosse is one of the fastest growing sports with the game now played in a number of schools.
