
Germany based Ugandan fitness expert Stephen Muhiire Sunday is one example of self-made brands.
In the year 2021, Muhiire was 7th in the men’s physique cluster of the Mr Kampala body building championship.
He did not lose focus but rather kept the diligence spirit with committed workouts, finishing 4th in the subsequent edition as well as the Mr. Africa International.

In 2022/2023, Muhiire scooped first position in the Physique category for Mr Kampala and won gold in the Mr. Body of Africa for the 2023-2024 Mister Africa International Championship.
Such is the determination and resilience that has witnessed him get elevated to work for Prime-Time Fitness in Frankfurt, Germany where he handles professional athletes, particularly the footballers from Frankfurt FSV 1899 (since January 2023).


Early years:
Muhiire was born on 5th January 1997. Right from the early days in his native Ibanda home area, he was interested in keeping fit and sports.
The elementary school journey commenced at Ibanda Kibubura Integrated Primary School and proceeded to Newcastle High School in Kampala city.







While, at High school the passion and interest for fitness intensified as he often executed freelance personal strength and conditioning tips for Uganda’s national sports teams, including football, cricket, rugby, and swimming, from January 2020 to December 2022.
As a senior Gym Instructor and Strength & Conditioning Coach at the Lugogo based Fitness Junction Gym & Spa, his skills were further honed with Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) from December 2019 to December 2021.





Certification:
Muhiire holds a couple of physical fitness, body conditioning and strength certifications from globally proven institutions.
These range from level 4 coaching certificate in strength and conditioning from the Strength and Conditioning Academy (SSA) in Macclesfield, England, United Kingdom to the Master in football strength & conditioning from the Football Science Institute (FSI), Granada, Spain.
He is also certified in sports specific training (American sports and fitness association, St Louis Missouri – USA), D-Flex A level personal trainer (Stockholm, Sweden) and Diploma in sports science (country wing fitness institute, Kampala – Uganda).






Milestone:
Muhiire became the first Ugandan athlete to compete in Germany Hyrox world championship in Koln city on 15th April 2023.
The Hyrox world championship tested his skills in running, rowing, and a series of rigorous strength and conditioning challenges.
Muhiire’s participation in the Hyrox world championship not only highlighted his personal athletic prowess but also underscored Uganda’s emerging presence in the international sports arena.
