
Vipers Sports Club continue to be busy in the transfer market, signing players with an aim of bolstering their squad ahead of the new season.
The latest acquisition for the Venoms is gangly forward Issa Bugembe who joins them on a four-year deal from Soltilo Bright Stars FC.
“The 19-year-old has joined the Kitende doors from Uganda Premier League side Soltilo Bright Stars FC after the expiration of his contract, where he has spent over two seasons.” Vipers SC confirmed the news via the club website.
Bugembe is a student at St. Mary’s Boarding Secondary School, Kitende (SMASK), which is a close affiliate and a feeder-side to Vipers SC and played at the recently held Secondary Schools tournament in Masaka.
Before joining SMASK, Bugembe was a student at Royal Giant High School, Mityana.
He has previously represented Uganda at various Youth level, including the U15, U17 and the U20.
Bugembe becomes the fourth signing for Vipers SC in this transfer window, joining Derrick Ndahiro, Pedro Honjo Chimbiambiulo and youngster Kenneth Kimera.
