Uganda has continued to go down in the FIFA rankings and are now positioned 94th in the world, falling two positions from last month.
The fall is attributed mainly to the home defeat to Algeria in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers although in the same window, they beat Botswana 1-0 on return to Mandela National stadium, Namboole.
Uganda’s conquerors Algeria also dropped to 44th and it was same for Guinea who are now 77th.
The two share the same group with Uganda in the Road to the 2026 World Cup finals.
Mozambique another Group F member rose to 103rd place while Botswana and Somalia are now ranked 145th and 202nd, respectively.
In East Africa, Rwanda remains constant in 131st position, Kenya slipped to 108th while Tanzania rose to 114th.
