Vipers SC DR. Lawrence Mulindwa believes Ugandan coaches have nothing to offer in terms of players learning from them.

The former FUFA president said this while unveiling Nikola Kavazovic as the new head coach officially taking over from Livingstone Mbabazi.

“Ugandan coaches are good, they have the papers but lack that professional touch,” said Mulindwa.

“You can imagine a coach goes AWOL for two weeks without reporting and then returns on the eve of the match,” he added perhaps hitting at Mbabazi who allegedly absconded from duty during his time at the club.

“Most coaches, not all have a bad life style outside training and players have nothing to learn from them. That’s why we bring in foreign coaches.”

Mulindwa has consistently shown a bad taste for local coaches despite them winning four of the six titles under Edward Golola, Fred Kajoba (RIP) and Alex Isabirye.

Surprisingly, Ugandan tacticians Fred Muhumuzza and Ali Kimera are part of Nikola Kavazovic.
