(KCCA qualifies to final with 4-1 Aggregate victory)

KCCA football club will play rivals Vipers in the 51st edition of the Stanbic Uganda Cup come 31st May 2025 at Kadiba stadium, Lubaga.

The fixture was confirmed on Sunday after the completion of the second semi final between FUFA Big League side Kataka and KCCA at the Mbale city stadium.

The return leg between the two sides ended one goal apiece with KCCA advancing to the final 4-1 on aggregate.

Brazilian Joao Gabriel Esteves Cardoso put KCCA ahead in the 47th minute to silence the chanting home fans.

Christened as Gabi, the former ADC Cabofriense player finished with a beautiful curl into the top corner of the net past goalkeeper Ronald Nsubuga.

Michael Olinga brought the game level with a first time shot off a brushed ball by Ali Sentamu migrating from goalkeeper Nsubuga’s long ball in the 66th minute.

The return leg at the MTN Omondi stadium in Lugogo had ended 3-0 in favour of KCCA.

KCCA will now square off against Vipers in the eagerly awaited final at the newly constructed Kadiba stadium.

Already declared as champions for the StarTimes Uganda Premier League, Vipers seek their second domestic double.

The final will be a repeat of the 2018 edition when KCCA overcame Vipers in Bukedea district.

KCCA seek for the 11th time having previously won in 1979, 1980, 1982, 1984, 1987, 1990, 1993, 2004, 2017 and lately 2018.
