Sommet Basketball Club secured a convincing 66-50 victory against Livingstone in the National Basketball League at YMCA Court on Wednesday.
Sommet started strong, opening the game with a 5-0 run. They completed the first quarter with a narrow one-point lead, finishing at 17-16 in what was an end-to-end encounter.
In the second quarter, despite a competitive effort from Livingstone, they trailed by two points at halftime, with a score of 28-26.
After the break, Livingstone struggled offensively and managed to score only 11 points in the third quarter, falling behind by 14 points as they entered the final period.
The last quarter was slow-paced, but Sommet ultimately secured a 16-point victory.
Sommet’s scoring leaders included Mark Ngobi with 20 points and Hon Kwany with 15 points, while Derrick Otim and Isaac Athuai each contributed 10 points.
