
St Mary’s Kitende and St Noa Girls wrapped up their group stage campaigns in style with commanding victories in the CAF Africa Schools Championship on Thursday evening.
St Noa Girls earned a dominant 3-0 win over the Democratic Republic of Congo in their final group match.
Brenda Nassaka opened the scoring in the 10th minute, and Lydia Namaseruka doubled the lead just two minutes later.
Two minutes into the second half, Grace Kawiino added a third, putting the icing on the cake.
St Noa Girls finished the group stage with a perfect record of three wins from three matches, scoring seven goals and conceding none.

Meanwhile, St Mary’s Kitende also impressed with a 4-1 triumph over South Africa.
Henry Muhoozi put Kitende in front in the ninth minute, followed by Nabir Kajjumba’s goal in the 20th minute to extend the lead.
Ashraf Kyakuwa added a third before Yasin Nsubuga sealed the result with Kitende’s fourth goal.
South Africa managed a consolation goal, but it wasn’t enough to earn them any points from the match.
Both sides have qualified for the semifinals of the ongoing championship.
