Record-holders City Oilers have confirmed the signing of small forwards Joseph Chuma and Emmanuel Okumu ahead of the 2025 National Basketball League (NBL) season.
The duo’s arrival provides the Oilers with more depth as they aim to extend their dominance to an 11th league title.
Chuma joins the reigning champions from Namuwongo Blazers, where he was a key player in the previous season.
Meanwhile, Okumu makes a return to City Oilers after a stint with KCCA Panthers, where he played a pivotal role in guiding the team to the playoffs.

Looking ahead, the Oilers are expected to announce the signings of Bolton Rujjumba, Edgar Munaaba, and Germaine Roebuck.
Notably absent from the roster is Edrine Walujo, who remains suspended following match-fixing allegations last season.
Additionally, big center Moses Maker has parted ways with the club after opting not to renew his contract.
City Oilers begin their 2025 NBL campaign against Namuwongo Blazers in a highly anticipated match scheduled for Friday, March 21, at the Lugogo Indoor Arena.
