Dr. Patrice Motsepe has on Wednesday been re-elected as the Confederation of African Football (CAF) President for the next four years.
Motsepe sailed through unopposed and his stay in office was confirmed during the 14th CAF Extra Ordinary General Assembly held in Cairo, Egypt.
The South African walked into a crisis-hit organisation four year ago after his predecessor, Ahmad Ahmad of Madagascar, was banned by FIFA for ethics abuses, including misappropriation of funds.
Motsepe’s first term was therefore hinged on trying to steady the ship and bring back order to CAF.
