Health and safety is key, FHNS brand CEO Otuk upon partnering with Uganda’s American Football federation

The American Football Federation of Uganda (AFFU) has maintained their cordial relationship with the FHNS Brand (Fitness Health Nutrition Sports Company).

FHNS brand will provide all the medical services during the inaugural American Football Uganda National League that kicks off in April 2025.

“Our partnership is to ensure that the health and safety of the American Football Athletes is promoted and protected during play and off play. Health and safety will ensure the federation’s goals of promoting the growth and development of the sport in Uganda and Africa” Gabriel Isaac Otuk, the founder and CEO of FHNS brand.

As a sports health company that’s been passionately investing In African sports health care for more than a decade, FHNS Brand (Fitness Health Nutrition Sports Company) through its subsidiary companies hopes to continue improving Africa’s sports health sector through investing in visionary African sports stakeholders like American Football Federation of Uganda.

The first edition of the national league is expected to feature six clubs as Long horns, Wildcats, Eagles, Commanders, Vikings and Seahawks.

Denis Ongodia is the chief executive officer of the national football league.

Ongodia looks forward the task bestowed upon him to run the league professionally.

“I am very honoured to be appointed as the league CEO. I have a lot of hope that the sport will blossom. I look forward good work. We starting from scratch and I would like to attract sponsors to come on board, the local community. In three year’s time, we want this to be the best league in Africa” Ongodia hinted.

“We want to develop a talent crop of players for American Football from communities to join the national team, get bursaries and also get bigger clubs in the USA and elsewhere” Ongodia adds.

The league is expected to commence on 26th April 2025 at the Kireka Recreational Park and shall last for at least 12 weeks.
