SC Villa has moved back to Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku for the premier league match versus Maroons which has also been rescheduled to Sunday March 9.

The earlier fixture had the game fixed on Saturday March 8 but has now been a moved a day later to allow the Afcon U17 Women Qualifiers against Kenya at Nakivubo on the same day.

Villa has hosted their previous two league matches at Prisons Grounds, Luzira due to ongoing renovations at Wankulukuku as it is one of the training grounds for the forthcoming Africa Nations Championship rescheduled for August in Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.

The defending league champions won both their matches at Luzira beating giants URA and Express and will hope to carry same form to Wankulukuku.

The Jogoos are unbeaten in nine home league matches winning six and drawing three and are in 8th position with 24 points, a point above 9th placed Maroons.

It remains to be seen whether the return to Wankulukuku is permanent or just for the game against Maroons who host their matches at Luzira.

SC Villa’s last league match at Wankulukuku was a 1-1 draw against Police.
