The win lifted the Msimbazi to 13 points, one ahead of the Algerian side that joins them in the quarter finals from the same group.
From Group B, Morocco’s RS Berkane with a near perfect campaign after 16 points are joined by South Africa’s Stellenbosch who finish second with 9 points.
Algeria’s USM Alger and ASEC Mimosas of Ivory Coast qualify from Group C while holders Zamalek are joined by compatriots Al Masry from Group D.
The knock out phase of the competitions begins on March 30 with two legged affairs until the final.
