SC Villa comprehensive victory over UPDF FC on Friday evening has been overshadowed by the sad news of the passing on of assistant referee Peter Kabugo.
The Jogoos secured a 5-0 win on the day but Kabugo who was the second assistant collapsed in the 73rd minute.
Medics from both teams rushed to offer first aid and and an ambulance was called to rush him to hospital. Unfortunately, it was confirmed minutes later that he died on the way to the hospital.
Charles Lwanga scored four times in the game with Aggrey Kirya adding an own goal as the Jogoos returned to winning ways ending a three-match winless streak.
Villa moved into top four on 11 points, just six adrift of leaders KCCA after match day seven while UPDF drop to 10th with 9 points.
