Ateker Cup 2024
Official opening match: Saturday 12th October
- Serere District Vs Kalaki District
- At Serere District playground (4:00 PM)
The 2024 Ateker Cup will officially kick-off on Saturday, 12th October in Serere district.
Sixteen teams are divided into four pools; A, B, C and D.
In group A, Katawi, Kapelebyong, Amuria and Soroti District.
The teams in group B include; Serere, Kalaki, Kaberemaido and Soroti City.
Serere will face Kalaki in the official opening match on 12th October 2024 at the Serere playground.
Kumi District, Ngora, Bukedea and Kumi Municipality are in group C.
Group D has Tororo, Butebo, Pallisa and newly founded Kachumbala.
In bid to achieve one of Ateker Cup tournament goals of providing a platform for Talent Identification and nurturing, the age cup was introduced into the competition.
Athletes of 25 years and below shall be eligible to participate in this championship
The tournament shall have a technical and arbitration committees comprising of sports officers with support from other stakeholders.
This is earmarked to help in increasing professionalism in handling of petitions and smooth running of the tournament.
