Makerere University overcame Victoria University 1-0 in the 2024 Pepsi University Football League at the Makerere University Arena on Thursday, 19th September.
Frank Mutekanga scored the all-important goal on the evening that was characterized by rains.
Mutekanga’s goal was a well headed strike past goalkeeper Yusuf Nfumu after Herbert Waswa’s free-kick in the 18th minute.
The goal was well defended until the end to grant maximum points to the hosts.
The league returns on Friday, 20th September 2024 with Busitema University playing host to IUIU.

This is a new team with new players but we managed to put up something. The period of training was limited and we expect to better the performance.
